Twin Falls Pics

Well the feedback from everyone that went on last Saturday's hike was certainly positive...everyone was positive they had a great time, and some were positive they had sore muscles. I have added several more pics of Twin Falls.

We will be planning a trip this Sunday, 03.15.09 for anyone that can make it. We would like to do Virginia Hawkins Falls, (formerly known as Double Falls), with a waterfall rating of spectacular. It's located in the Laurel Fork Heritage Preserve in the Jocassee Gorges area of Pickens County off of Hwy 178. I have hiked the area, but not to the actual waterfall. The trail is rated as "moderate", and is 1.7 miles to the waterfall, but our hike can be easily extended. The weather may be a bit on the rainy side, but that shouldn't stop us, as long as it isn't pouring. Let me know if you plan on going, so we can coordinate carpooling. http://www.ncwaterfalls.com/va_hawkins_sc1.htm
We have discussed a trip to the Congaree National Park for our next Saturday hike, tentatively 03.21.09. This is a fascinating area...and flat.
See you in the woods~
